FIRST TENDER INVITATION NOTICE
The National Government Constituency Development Fund (NGCDF) Westlands Constituency invites interested contractors to participate in the below tender.

  1. WNGCDF/01/2020/2021 BOHRA PRIMARY SCHOOL PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF ADMINISTRATION BLOCK-OPEN TENDER     
  2. WNGCDF/02/2020/2021 BOHRA PRIMARY SCHOOL PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF MULTIPURPOSE HALL-OPEN TENDER
  3. WNGCDF/03/2020/2021 KANGEMI PRIMARY SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION OF 5 CLASSROOMS-OPEN TENDER
  4. WNGCDF/04/2020/2021 LORESHO SECONDARY SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION AND EQUIPPING OF 2 LABORATORIES-SPECIAL GROUPS
  5. WNGCDF/05/2020/2021 VET LAB SECONDARY SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION AND EQUIPPING OF 2 LABORATORIES-OPEN TENDER
  6. WNGCDF/06/2020/2021 FARASI LANE SECONDARY SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION AND EQUIPPING OF 2 LABORATORIES-OPEN TENDER

Interested bidders may inspect and obtain tender documents from Westlands NGCDF OFFICE, off kyuna rise, behind Nairobi School during normal working hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm. Prices quoted should be inclusive of all taxes and delivery costs, must be expressed in Kenya Shillings and shall remain valid for a period of 120 days from the closing date of the tender. Bidders must immediately email their name and contact details (company name, cell phone number and email) to: cdfwestlands@ngcdf.go.ke for records, communication or any tender clarifications and addenda.

Tenders in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked the tender number and bearing no indication of the tenderer should be addressed to:

and be deposited in the tender box at Westlands NG-CDF offices off kyuna Rise , opposite house no. 23 on or before 16/02/2021 at 12.00 Noon.

Submitted bids will be opened soon after the above stated date and time in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend.

Note: The NGCDF Westlands reserves the right to accept or reject any tender either in whole or in part and is not bound to accept the lowest bidder without giving reasons thereof.

Bidders MUST meet the following requirements supported by copies of requisite document) alongside other requirement contained in the tender documents.

 

  1. Certificate of Business Registration/Incorporation
  2. Valid Tax Compliance Certificate
  3. KRA V.A.T / PIN registration certificate.
  4. Valid copy of N.C.A 7 registration certificate.
  5. Dully signed Confidential Business Questionnaire.
  6. Dully filled and signed form of tender.
  7. Valid CR12 or National Identity card for sole proprietor.
  8.  Bid bond of 2% of the bid price which must remain valid for 180 days (after expiry of tender validity period) from reputable bank or from PPRA accredited insurance company.

KANGEMI PRIMARY TRANSFORMED BY TIM WANYONYI

Kangemi Primary School pupils studying in one of the refurbished classrooms courtesy of Westlands MP Hon Tim Wanyonyi. Kangemi Primary School was established in 1927. It is the only public primary school in the expansive Mountain View Ward. The school has a current enrollment of 1,846 pupils and 30 teachers. The school bore the brunt of a ballooning population of its catchment comprising of Gichagi, Rift Valley, Village Inn and St Joseph informal settlement areas.  The free primary education programme introduced in January 2003 positively contributed to an increased enrollment of pupils at the school .The high enrollment with the limited physical facilities at the school resulted in congested classrooms. The defunct city council failure to allocate resources to the school further  contributed to the sorry state of affairs with the school infrastructure being overstretched. THOUSANDS OF KIBAGARE SLUM DWELLERS IN WESTLANDS FACE POTENTIAL EVICTIONS

Aug 1st, 2016 George Kidi Kiprono Kibagare Slum Dwellers demonstrating peacefully on Aug 1, 2016 led by Westlands MP Hon Tim Wanyonyi against an illegal verbal eviction notice issued by the Nairobi School Principal. At least ten t housand Kibagare Slum dwellers  are threatened with eviction from their homes and businesses following a verbal eviction notice which sources point to the nearby Nairobi School Principal. According to the Kibagare Informal Settlement leadership, last week, the Deputy President visited Nairobi School and was notified by the school the need to set up a perimeter wall to cordon off the school land.  A day after the visit, the Kibagare leaders were summoned for a meeting with the principal of the school where he told them that a wall is supposed to be built on the disputed land which is about 4 acres. He was categorical that the land belongs to Nairobi School and the residents have no option but to voluntarily leave or be forcefully evicted.
