TIM WANYONYI SUPERCUP 2015: ATHLETICO AND WESTGIRLS CROWNED AS THE NEW CHAMPIONS

Kangemi Athletico Fc pipped defending Champions Amigos Fc by a solitary goal at Kihumbuini Stadium in Kangemi on Saturday, December 12, 2015 to emerge as the new champions of the 3 rd Edition of the Westlands Constituency Tim Wanyonyi Super Cup. Albert Onywera’s 70 th minute 30 yard wonder strike beat the 1 st runners up Kenya Premier League Golden Glove winner Farouk Shikalo to win the tightly contested match. Hon Tim Wanyonyi having a practical session on one of the new computers at Loresho Primary School Westlands MP Hon Tim Wanyonyi has strengthened his commitment to giving pupils in Westlands Constituency hands-on experiences in digital literacy by opening two  new 40 workstation Computer labs at Loresho Primary School and Lower Kabete Primary School in Kitisuru Ward  on Thursday, October 22,2015 and Friday, October 23, 2015 respectively.  Lower Kabete Primary School's new computer laboratory The Computer Labs consist of 40 computers, internet connectivity, NComputing as well as a server where academic content can be shared with each learner using one of the computers. The computer labs are expected to serve the Loresho Primary school’s 1,140 pupils and 26 teachers as well as Lower Kabete Primary School's 750 pupils and 20 teachers . Hon Tim Wanyonyi having a practical experience with the new computers in Kabete Vet Lab Primary School Westlands MP Hon Tim Wanyonyi  officially opened Kabete Vet Lab Primary School's first ever computer laboratory since its inception in 1968 on Friday, October 16, 2015 . He fully equipped the laboratory in partnership with various partners such as Computer Pride Limited. Kabete Vet Lab Primary is  the 6th ICT centre that the hardworking Westlands Member of National Assembly has established in the Constituency. KIDERO : KANGEMI MARKET TO BE MODERNIZED AT KES 1.6 BILLION

Evans Kidero has assured the Westlands Constituency MP Hon Tim Wanyonyi as well as other Westlands Association Stakeholders that the construction of a modern market will commence in Kangemi in less than three months time. The market has been subject to various court wrangles regarding land ownership. Additionally, the market has been characterized by frequent demolitions, poor garbage management as well as an inaccessible path through the market. WESTLANDS MP TIM WANYONYI OPENS HOSPITAL HILL PRIMARY SCHOOL'S ICT LAB

Hon Tim Wanyonyi testing out the Computers This morning the Westlands MP Hon Tim Wanyonyi joined the pupils, parents and teachers of Hospital Hill Primary School for the official opening of their computer laboratory which he fully equipped together with other partners. Hon Wanyonyi addressing the parents,pupils and teachers. The computer lab consists of 41 computers, full internet connectivity, a server to enable sharing of information and coordination as well as a refurbished computer laboratory room. The data connectivity as well as the shared server will ensure that teachers and pupils have access to internet and subject matter that enriches their learning experience. In last year’s KCPE the school emerged the best in Nairobi County as well as in Westlands Constituency with a mean score of 341.53; hopefully they will reach an average mark of 400 marks in the forthcoming examinations with the fusion of ICT in their learning. It is neither a soap opera, nor is it any art of fiction. This is the story of a man who has not only lived his life beyond the shadows of misfortune but has also carried and is still conveying the lives of the less fortunate from the pits of despair to the horizon of hope. Westlands MP addressing the Women Groups set to receive loans from the Women Enterprise Fund Westlands MP Hon Tim Wanyonyi on Friday, September 18, 2015 presided over the disbursement of KES 3,177,500 from the Women Enterprise Fund to sixteen women groups in the Constituency. Out of the government allocation of KES 222 Million for Nairobi County, Westlands Constituency is second only to Starehe Constituency with the various women groups borrowing a total of KES 24.8 Million since inception of the Women Enterprise Fund in 2008.
