TIM WANYONYI RALLIES VOTERS IN MAU MAU KANGEMI

Westlands Member of Parliament Hon Tim Wanyonyi has said he is ready to face his opponents in the August polls and expressed confidence he will retain his seat with a landslide.

Speaking in MauMau during a meet the people tour, Hon Tim Wanyonyi said his development record in the constituency speaks for itself.
Mau Mau Residents turned up in large numbers to listen to Hon Tim Wanyonyi as he toured the area on July 10, 2017

Hon Tim Wanyonyi condemned the interference of the Judiciary and IEBC by the executive as the national elections draw closer.
Mau Mau Residents unanimously agreed to reelect Hon Tim Wanyonyi as the Westlands MP on August 8, 2017.

He said he is confident of trouncing his opponents vying on Jubilee and ANC tickets.

Kangemi Primary School pupils studying in one of the refurbished classrooms courtesy of Westlands MP Hon Tim Wanyonyi. Kangemi Primary School was established in 1927. It is the only public primary school in the expansive Mountain View Ward. The school has a current enrollment of 1,846 pupils and 30 teachers. The school bore the brunt of a ballooning population of its catchment comprising of Gichagi, Rift Valley, Village Inn and St Joseph informal settlement areas.  The free primary education programme introduced in January 2003 positively contributed to an increased enrollment of pupils at the school .The high enrollment with the limited physical facilities at the school resulted in congested classrooms. The defunct city council failure to allocate resources to the school further  contributed to the sorry state of affairs with the school infrastructure being overstretched. PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN WESTLANDS LIVING THE DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY DREAM

Of all the ODM MP's running in Nairobi, I am most impressed by the solid development record of the Hon Tim Wanyonyi who despite being a Person Living With Disability (PWD), still outshone able colleagues in the 11th parliament. Tim's vision is contained in a comprehensive strategic plan he crafted soon after being elected as MP 2013. Among my favourite of Hon Tim Wanyonyi's projects was his commitment to improve education outcomes at all levels of learning in Westlands Constituency through integration of ICT in primary schools curricular. Recognizing that digital technology has the power to transform how young people learn, Hon Wanyonyi prioritized the setting up ICT facilities in schools within the constituency. THOUSANDS OF KIBAGARE SLUM DWELLERS IN WESTLANDS FACE POTENTIAL EVICTIONS

Aug 1st, 2016 George Kidi Kiprono Kibagare Slum Dwellers demonstrating peacefully on Aug 1, 2016 led by Westlands MP Hon Tim Wanyonyi against an illegal verbal eviction notice issued by the Nairobi School Principal. At least ten t housand Kibagare Slum dwellers  are threatened with eviction from their homes and businesses following a verbal eviction notice which sources point to the nearby Nairobi School Principal. According to the Kibagare Informal Settlement leadership, last week, the Deputy President visited Nairobi School and was notified by the school the need to set up a perimeter wall to cordon off the school land.  A day after the visit, the Kibagare leaders were summoned for a meeting with the principal of the school where he told them that a wall is supposed to be built on the disputed land which is about 4 acres.
