Ms. Hussein said by the end of Monday May 6, only 2 million people had registered whereas the county’s target is 5.6 million. She said the government expects all Kenyans to register before the end of the designated period for the exercise to enable the state plan its policies and programmes for effective service delivery. The legislator who had called upon the NYS and County Government firefighters to vanquish the fire, regretted the massive loss of property. He promised to aid the fire victims. Furthermore, he lobbied for the use of  modern fireproof material while building houses to avert similar crisis. By TIM SANDE  Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi is rooting for financial literacy among the youth to help them develop a saving culture . Speaking at the induction training for the new Biashara Ya Westlands SACCO (BIYAWE), the industrious legislator made a strong case for instilling a saving culture in the youth,saying setting aside KES 50 a day would amount to KES 18,000 a year. He urged the youth to save more and spend less on non-essentials.The new SACCO targets individual youth,YOUTH in groups, bodaboda groups as wells as small scale traders from across Westlands. Mr Wanyonyi urged the members of the SACCO to support it through savings and engage in investment so as to nurture their growth. BIYAWE SACCO is set to be launched mid of March 2019. It will offer opportunities to obtain capital, accumulate savings and market the output of their commercial efforts. Newly refurbished Loresho Primary School classroom block By Tim Sande, WESTLANDS,Kenya,April 5 - Westlands MP Hon Tim Wanyonyi this morning officially handed over a newly refurbished Loresho Primary School.  The refurbishment of the school involved the installation of tiles on the floors, setting up of new ceilings, replacement of wooden doors with metallic ones, repairing of leaking roofs, painting of blackboards, repairing of notice boards, recarpeting of the parking with Ca rbro as well as painting of all the 13 classrooms,staffroom, computer room and administration block.
