DECIPHERING LIES BY A PERRENIAL LOSER WESTLANDS MP ASPIRANT REGARDING THIONGO ROAD REHABILITATION

My attention is drawn to an MP aspirant who wants to make political capital by dumping sand to parts of Thiongo road in an attempt to castigate failure by Westlands MP to rehabilitate the road.
To my astonishment the MP aspirant managed by the well educated Moses Esemele seems deceived and manipulated to a backfired PR gimmick with no eyesight of the ramifications.
Thiongo access road is categorized as a County Road.Well before the County called for proposals to rehabilitate the road on Feb 24, 2015 the residents of the area led led by Francis Mbugua Kamau led demonstrations in Mountain View by youth decrying the poor status of the road in May 2014.
Westlands legislator Hon Tim Wanyonyi came and listened to their pleas. He took up the issue at two levels. He petitioned parliament for a budgetary allocation to the county to tarmac the road in addition to speaking to Dr Evans Kidero to fix the road.
Long before the county took any tangible action, Hon Tim Wanyonyi between June and December 2014 contracted the services of local youth led by Norman Jarega to put murram on the road for it to be accessible. The rehabilitation involved 500 youth drawn from Mountain View and Kangemi Wards. By the end of it the road was in a better state awaiting the County Intervention.
By January 2015 the road was in a better status and future prospects were boosted by allocation of KES 65, 557, 314 by the County Government to tarmac the road. The County Called for Proposals between Feb 24, 2015 to May 10, 2015. Subsequently the tender was awarded to a contractor who commenced on the work.

Any attempt to dump sand or murram now by anyone and in any manner is a criminal offence since it is tantamount to interfering with the Contractors Work.
It can not be wished away that HON TIM WANYONYI has pushed for the tarmacking of the roads and any political failure should not be allowed to try and joke with the intelligence of the Westlands people.
