RAILA VOUCHES FOR RE-ELECTION OF TIM WANYONYI AS WESTLANDS MP
Hon Tim Wanyonyi being endorsed by Rt Hon Raila Odinga for his reelection as Westlands MP in 2017. |
In a seemingly surprisingly but welcomed political move by NASA Presidential candidate Raila Odinga at Kihumbuini grounds, Westlands, the Champion of democracy and father of devolution openly endorsed the Hon. Tim Wanyonyi for a second term in office. This happened in a series of stop overs at the constituency whereby the (10) million strong NASA Coalition held a series of roadshow round Nairobi County where she a massive one million vote bloc. History dictates that when Raila, also seen as kingmaker publicly declares any formidable candidate 'Tosha ' whether for President or any other electoral seat, it's always a sure blessing of victory for the leader. Done deal.
This declaration comes amidst a brewing storm instigated by the not so serious wannabes opponents of Hon Tim, hold empty or almost non attended campaigns fuelled by propaganda and mudsling, all this taking shape in Westlands purposely to oust the charismatic soft spoken and development, results oriented MP. Critics have it that the Institution Raila Odinga who is always justified and politically correct has once again done it, swayed and changed the course to be followed by Westlands electorate in the fourth coming elections back to track, this is rumoured to be after wide consultations among the NASA principals.
Today's public declaration by the People's President over the future of Westlands under the able articulate MP Hon Tim, reminded me of a joke that is truthfully funny and widely considered as fact, that, 'if the enigma of Kenya Politics said your wife is pregnant, don't question but better start preparing for a baby ', frankly speaking, Agwambo is always right. Leaders present at the event included Nairobi Governor Dr. Evans Kidero, Deputy Mweke, Senator aspirant Edwin Sifuna, Esther Passaris, George Aladwa, Hon Simba Arati among others.
It is said, that bad leaders are elected by good people who don't vote, true, every vote in an election counts and to set the record straight amidst applause and cheers by the massive ecstatic crowd, Raila Odinga went a mile ahead to expound on Hon. Tim's admired development record that was undisputed in Nairobi with the disability Champions' achievement recording a many first otherwise that would take many years to come before realization. Mr. Odinga not mincing his words before leaving the podium stated and I quote, "Tim Wanyonyi si ana TOSHA! ", the people went into frenzy.
